Why does Copia say that something is modified in my PLC project, but doesn't show any changes/differences?
Copia may be unable to render certain changes to your PLC project. Using the "Show XML" View Option will often reveal any underlying differences.
Copia detects changes to project items typically by converting the PLC project to a text-based format (XML) and then checks for changes. In certain cases, Copia will detect that a PLC project item has been modified in the XML, but doesn't show any graphical differences when you click on the project item.
This can happen for a number of reasons. Sometimes the project contains underlying changes to the XML that either aren't functional changes, such as a GUID, timestamp, or variable ordering changing. Other times it may be that Copia has not yet implemented a graphical render for a specific type of edit.
If you notice that a project item has been marked as "Modified" but is empty on the Differences screen, click the "View Options" dropdown on the right side and toggle the "Show XML" option. This will should the underlying difference in the XML for that project item.
