What are File Lists in DeviceLink?

A File List is a list of specific files and file types that you want to include or exclude from a DeviceLink backup. You can think of a File List kind of like the .gitignore file in that it is often used to exclude certain files from being tracked.

Copia has pre-made File Lists for our natively-supported DeviceLink vendors. We also allow you to create your own custom File Lists. For example, if you're using the DeviceLink FTP feature to back up files from an FTP server, you might need to make a custom File List to ensure that the Agent doesn't back up all of the files on the FTP server.
