How can I move a repo location on my computer?

Follow these simple steps for moving a local repository to a different location on your computer

If you find yourself wanting to move your repository's location on your local computer, say from your C: drive to a D: drive when you need more space, you can follow these simple steps.

  1. Locate your repository folder by using the Desktop app. You can click Repository > Show in Explorer or use Ctrl + Shift + F.
  2. Navigate up one level in the Windows Explorer
  3. Cut and paste the entire repository folder to your desired location
    1. Note: Make sure that you don't paste the repository folder into another Git repository
  4. Return to the Copia Desktop app. You will see a message that says Can't find "REPO_NAME"
  5. Click the teal Locate button
  6. In the Windows Explorer window that pops up, navigate to the location that you just pasted the repository
  7. Select the repository folder, then click Open in Windows Explorer
  8. Return to the Copia desktop application. It should now see the repository. If it doesn't, try clicking Check again.
