How can I move a repo location on my computer?
Follow these simple steps for moving a local repository to a different location on your computer
If you find yourself wanting to move your repository's location on your local computer, say from your C: drive to a D: drive when you need more space, you can follow these simple steps.
- Locate your repository folder by using the Desktop app. You can click Repository > Show in Explorer or use Ctrl + Shift + F.
- Navigate up one level in the Windows Explorer
- Cut and paste the entire repository folder to your desired location
- Note: Make sure that you don't paste the repository folder into another Git repository
- Return to the Copia Desktop app. You will see a message that says Can't find "REPO_NAME"
- Click the teal Locate button
- In the Windows Explorer window that pops up, navigate to the location that you just pasted the repository
- Select the repository folder, then click Open in Windows Explorer
- Return to the Copia desktop application. It should now see the repository. If it doesn't, try clicking Check again.
