[Desktop App](https://help.copia.io/knowledge/source-control-faq?hsLang=en#desktop-app) # How do I sign in to the Copia desktop app? ## This article describes the steps needed to sign in to your Copia desktop app. You can read about signing in to the Copia desktop app in [our Documentation](https://docs.copia.io/docs/git-based-source-control/administration/desktop-app-options#accounts). See the animation below for a demonstration on how you can access the sign-in page on the Copia desktop app.  Signing in to the Copia desktop application should be the first thing that you do after installing it. You will be unable to interact with your repositories (Clone, Push, Pull, etc.) without first signing in. If you are a typical Copia cloud-hosted customer, use the first *Sign in* button beneath *app.copia.io*.
