What network connections does the DeviceLink Agent require?

This article contains details around the network requirements for Copia's DeviceLink Agent.

Internet Connectivity

The Copia DeviceLink Agent requires an internet connection to send Job results to the server and to get updated Job information. This internet connection is established via an outbound-only connection. You can find more details about DeviceLink's network requirements in our documentation.

OT LAN Connectivity

Aside from the cloud connectivity requirement, the Agent also needs to have access to devices on the LAN. Specific requirements, such as port numbers, depend on the device that you are attempting to back up and are covered in our Documentation (if applicable).

In general though, if the computer/VM that the Agent is hosted on can be used to manually access a device, the Copia Agent should be able to as well. For example, if you can manually use Studio 5000 to perform an upload of a Rockwell PLC from the Agent computer, then you can feel confident that you have the proper connectivity.
