Can I have more than one DeviceLink Device project file in a repo?

Yes, there is no limit to the number of Device project files in a repository.

This article is focused on how this question relates to DeviceLink but is still true for traditional Source Control repositories. There is no technical limit to the number of Device project files that you can store within a single repository when configuring them in DeviceLink. In fact, it is quite common to store a number of project files in the same repository when using DeviceLink.

 

For example, let's say that you are using DeviceLink to back up all 5 PLCs that run an assembly line in your factory. It might make sense to keep all 5 PLC projects in the same repo. Then you can configure the specific file to compare to when you configure your Project in the DeviceLink dashboard.
