# Can I commit files via the Copia web app (browser)?

## It is possible to upload or edit and commit files in the browser via the Copia web app

You can upload files to the web app directly, as well as edit text-based files. The video below will take you through the following in the web app:

- Adding a folder
- Adding a new text file (must use correct extension)
- Editing a text file
- Creating a new branch
- Deleting a file

In general, it is recommended to use the Copia Desktop App to make changes to files in a repo, especially for Siemens TIA Portal projects and others that contain multiple files
